    Default work withholding my check help

    i know this is the wrong place but it gets the most attention and i just need a little help,ok so my work has been withholding my 2nd paycheck after the company we work under found out i wasn't 18 yet, so ever since about 9-10 days ago i was supposed to get paid, but they said they would not release my funds until i was moved to a different area because where i was at was 2 dangerous and i guess im not covered until im 18 or some shit. so my work has been trying to get them to pay me this whole time, but they still havent released the funds for hours IVE ALREADY WORKED. ive been told that this is unlawful and have been researching the ga labor laws with no luck. can anybody help me or give a link, or even know what can be done? because im seriously have had it.

    my first pay check i got i guess they didn't find out so i got that but even then i was supposed to get 50$ more on that pay check that went missing somehow, either that or they forgot that there paying me alot more than 6 dollars an hour, and it was for 2 days of work(so 50$ is kinda alot missing)...

    BTW, dont feel too bad. i worked this shitty ass weekend job started in march..fuckers apparently lost my social info and didnt pay me for the two weekends i worked. It was only $8 an hour but 6 ficking days.

    It wasnt worth me fighting it though to take time off my real job

    well 90 bucks for over a months time so far kinda scares me...btw im not knocking impreglon just the company that runs them i can't remember the name...

    And a little hint... if you're supposed to be a certain age for a job, follow the damn rules. It will save you a lot of hassle. not sure if they told you you had to be 18 for this job but if so, did you really think they wouldn't find out? And if not... they are stupid.

    ok thanks, -they never had age requirements or told me about them, they told me they thought the laws of operating their equipment were at 17 and didn't have any idea until they began to withhold my check...and QD grow up...

    they probably aren't releasing your checks until they get you out of the "hazardous" area because OSHA or some other labor agency could bust the company with a huge fine for having you work in a age restricted area, so they are getting you where you can be and then releasing the checks so they can just say you were there the whole time....

    doesn't sound like too great of a company if they dont even know the labor laws....and $50 is not that much to cry about, but you're 17 so I guess that's alot of money to you guys



    and go get a job at McD's...they pay alot more than $6 and you get to see plenty of smiling faces everyday and they won't care if you are 17, I bet you could even work the fryer....and that's pretty dangerous!

    yeah exactly, but that 50 dollars was missing from a check that was for 2 days work, so it is alot. plus i need all i can get right now to pay probation officer

    well today they told me they are giving me my paycheck tomorrow and a paycheck for the missing 50$ so its all good now, then i get paid again on friday! $$$
