ALL of the gasoline in Atlanta comes from the SAME pipes. The regular, unleaded, & premium that you buy at every gas station, no matter what the name is, all comes from the SAME pipe. You boycott one company and they will have will take action to draw in customers, resulting in lowering their price. Do any of you realize how dumb 99.999% of us are? Take last summer for example, the two pipelines providing 90% of our fuel were "damaged", Atlanta has a 7-10 day supply/reserve, yet the prices went up nearly double that very FIRST day. The gas stations blamed the media for saying we were going to run out, yet why did their price go up $0.50-1.00 within hours of the public finding out there was an issue with the pipeline??? We got hosed. We have over a week of fuel sitting in tanks in Atlanta, there is NO reason for the price to go up for at least a week. Another example, smaller gas stations may only get a gas truck in every 3 days or so....but how or why does the price still fluctuate daily? That fuel in the tank under the ground is bought and paid for at a set price, that exact same gas is still in those tanks but the price changes??? They call it "market value", the value is what it was bought at, not what today or tomorrow's price is going to be. We are all like stray dogs: we get beaten, sodomized, & abused practically every day yet the very next day standing there wagging our tails getting gas and food from a "convenience" store.Originally Posted by SPOOLIN
