Who ever made the comment about FHA loans having higher rates is making a very false statement because that is not true at all. The part regarding paying points is also incorrect, please see an expert before giving false information because statements like this will harm potential homebuyer who are looking for useful information. My fathered owns a mortgage company and I have been a licensee agent for almost 2 years, but I use to process loans for my fathers company and we originate over 100 FHA loans a year. Anyways, if you are a first time homebuyer an FHA Loan could be a good choice, but there are also some conventional programs on the market right now available this program is call “ House America”.
