    Default CB7tuner's 2013 scion FR-S build....

    so i figured i would share the progress of my 2013 FR-S in a build thread instead of filling the car pics section with random updates....

    I picked up the car from Team scion in lithia springs December 16th 2012, searched high and low for a manual whiteout pearl FR-S with the options i wanted and finally found it.
    pics of it when i got it home....







    first thing that absoultely had to be changed was the scion badges, those were ordered the first day from FT86speedfactory and i also received a free 2" billet Perrin shorty antenna!!!!




    after that was done, i decided the front end had a tad bit to much chrome for my liking. so i disasembled the front end to remove the headlights to black house them and to spray the high beam lenses a candy yellow, and taped out a few lines on the housing to remain chrome to give the front end a distinct custom look...








    reasembled everything and this is how it turned out....








    i love the way they turned out, after that i decided to upgrade the bulbs to HIDs since i have factory projectors with a nice beam cutoff and upgraded most of the other exterior bulbs to LEDs with white/amber switchback bulbs in the front turn signals...





    added some inline resistors to the turn signals to get rid of the really fast blinking when changing to LEDs...


    and the latest modification ive done is some BC racing coilovers......










    then my good friend Whatever210 came over and we decided to take some pics together since theres kind of a internet rivalry between the two cars and we were bored lol.....










    oh and i guess i saved the best for last.......
    I have ordered the Vortech Supercharger kit with custom Perrin tune and smaller Perrin pulley, it was ordered in a group buy for a great deal last month and i just got word today that it should be at my door in 2 weeks. I CANT WAIT!!!!!

    also ordered some staggered width(18x9, 18x10) 18" WORK emotion XD9 in bronze yesterday, they will be here next monday along with a ARK performance exhaust!!!!

    Excellent job on the headlights, that was a major improvement. Looking forward to seeing this one progress. New wheels are gonna set it off

    Thanks my friend, Im loving everything about the car so far and now with the coils it handles like its on rails. And I can't wait for the supercharger, should bump it from the general 165 whp these usually dyno stock to around 280ish whp which will be nuts in a 2600 lb car.

    With those wheels it'll be the bee's knees. Headlights were a good idea, for sure.

    I didnt read about the Vortech on order the first time through. That will be a fun little car for sure!

    When I opened the thread and first saw the car, I realized that I still think they're pretty ugly. When I got down to the part where you put C/Os on, I realized that my ideology since the 80s still rings true today..........

    ..............every car looks good (or better) lowered.

    Your car looks great, dude. When I first read about you messing with your headlights, I thought it was going to end up looking terrible. Alas, I think they turned out great with what you did.

    Lastly, although the new wheels will be a better visual upgrade, I personally think they look bad. I've just always hated that style wheel.

    {I will not insert disclaimer about the previous comment because it should already be known}

    Overall? Good job, sir. For what it's worth, I like it.

    Thanks man, I'm very pleased with how the headlights turned out as well, I can't wait for the new wheels to get here i think this style will look great on it, I've wanted a set for a while, but hey .... Different strokes for different folks.

    few updates...my exhaust came in friday....



    i completely spaced out and forgot to take a pic of it installed but it was dark anyway, i'll get one today...
    But my wheels showed up yesterday!!!!!!
    custom ordered 5x100 drilled and staggered 18x9 front , 18x10 rear work emotion XD9.....




    comparison on the front and rear depth

    and they sent me the choice of blue or red valve stems, tag cover,and some free red open ended muteki lugs and hubcentric rings...


    Now for some tire shopping!!!

    Another small update...
    Got my center caps in since apparently you have to order those separate and I also got my GT86 badge in as well.
    Also decided to do my first oil change since she just rolled over 3000 miles. Went with Mobil 1 and an OEM filter.

    Well whenever you are able please post of pictures and videos. I thought about buying a BRZ and building it with the leftover cash but I went with the GT500 instead. I want to see what I missed out on
