Bought a oem fan shroud and after market fan blades. I have a slim fan setup I just got in the mail. Ones for fmic and the other for hot days mounted on radiator ech will b on seperate switches. The clutch fan will be primarily used while daily driving no need to have efans on all the time.

With just a single electric fan i hardly ever needed to turn it on. Only if sitting still on a hot day or beating the piss out of the car

I find myself doing the same with my fullsize aluminum dual core. My small fan is also on a manual switch and I haven't had to use it. Car stays at normal operating temp.

Well car runs now. Timing Is alittle off but nothing major.

Did a lot of custom welding work yesterday. Delted the flex area on my megan down pipe. Made a custom fmic mount (looks really good) mikes also making me a custom silvia hood using my s13 hood. Still have to do small things like hook up gauges, alignment, dp and exhaust. If it wouldn't have rained Saturday I would be diving it. We also has to modify my dual projector housing. We cut the fog light out and fitted it with a fog light from a tripple prjector since it had all broken tabs. All wiring was shrink wrapped and done legit. No more shitty speaker wire.

Getting tires mounted. Payed 30 for all four they all still had a lot of life on them. Big side walls but couldn't beat the price.

    Drag car status lol

Also had to fix the wiring on my old rb26 s14...hmmmmmmmmm I wonder why lol

Will post some more pics and videos and a dyno sheet from sammy. Compression is 165 across the bored. Successful rebuild!

Thanks guys just waiting on some stuff. Don't want to rush paint. Still need rear overs and waiting on my rocket bunny rep spoiler for my trunk. Still pondering on colors to. I may go two tone, but haven't made up my mind.

Two tone actually looks pretty good. I was going to either do daytona blue (350z nissan color) or midnight pruple.

Yeah the purple was growing on me too. There are a few wide body two tone 240' s out there that look awesome but I painted mt engine bay gold so I think there would be to much going on lol.

Not really. Even with the gold bay, a factory tan/brown two tone would look good but not sure how it would look with the widebody.

Not feelin two tone on a kitted car.

    Color suggestions.......

white was workin for ya... stick with it... but something with a little more pop. "expensive car white"...lol something like morning frost with a good pearl.

but then again... with a drift car, dont want to have to match up a pearl every time you need to respray something.

Yeah whatever color i do choose will be done at macco. Its cheap but will look decent enough to look at. I do like white, but its such a bitch to clean lol

    White on gold
    Black on gold
    Midnight purple on gold

Those are the choices im looking at

All 3 will work good. Seems like a question of mild or wild. If you want to go wild, purple it is. That blue/purple color on supras is one of my favorite colors of all time.

That's a nice color...and yes Maaco will overspray your shit and your paint will have all kinds of crap in it near the bottom. Make them fix that shit and its a decent paint job. They specialize in dealing with people that have no fucking clue what a good paint job is. Hell I did all the priming and taping on one of my civics and they still got over spray on shit.

The paint arrived time for paint this weekend. Also ordered GKtech offset spacers and stage two circuit sport inner and outer tie rods. Everything is ready and the car is drivable. Just needs a serious alignment.

Also installed a GKtech aftermarket clutch fan blades with a oem shroud. Hooked up two high powered efans. One on my radiator (back up) and one on my intercooler up front which should defd cool the air passing by a lot more. Over kill but its better to be safe then sorry especially with ga heat.

I decided on hot rod gloss black with some (tiny) gold holographic flake. We will see how that turns out.

Fan on the intercooler is pretty pointless, its only going to have an effect when the car isnt moving... and the effect its going to have is going to be about the same as throwing a spoon full of water into a swimming pool. attempting to increase horsepower on a car when its sitting still makes no sense.

If you wanted to create a temporary air charge or something to rapidly cool your intercooler, you should use water or nitrous. They make fogger plates specifically intended to cool your intercooler. Obviously that's not something that's very cost effective..... but you can also use water in the plate or make your own with irrigation parts from the hardware store. Most people who do something like that connect the lines from their window washers and divert them to the intercooler, you also have a factory installed control system already in your dash... when you press the window washer button, it sprays water on your intercooler. The downside is, you will now have dirty windows.

That's actually not a bad idea. Thanks man.

The fan was more for pushing air
Threw both the intercooler and radiator I just mounted it on the front of the fmic so it could pick up a good bit of air. Didn't do it to gain power. just trying to keep the engine bay as cool as possible.

Sinfix where do ppl usually tap the intercooler for the water cooling line? On the actual fmic? Or piping? If piping, cold or hot side?

idk, the only water cooled fmics ive ever seen were pre-made, the ones ive seen dont have "cooling lines" they just have water inside them.

What im talking about is routing the water lines from the windshield reservoir to be sprayed into the front of the fmic.

    like this

they make nitrous kits that just fog the intercooler, but you can replace nitrous with co2 or water. The fogger rings are pretty cheap, but if you wanted to be super cheap, you can get irrigation lines at the hardware store. and obviously you wouldnt have to be all douchey and mount the solenoid in plain view like these pics, you can hide it.
