    Default Question: 4G eclipse -> AWD conversion?

    Does your shop do custom work?

    I'm looking to convert my 2008 Eclipse Spyder from FWD to AWD. I know people have been able to do the conversion on a 3G using EVO 8 and 2G eclipse parts but I haven't been able to find anything stating that it's been done with the 4Gs at all.

    I've seen EVO 9 engines with 35k miles for ~$3kish shipped. If it's even possible to do I'd want to build up the engine properly before putting it in the car and then start the suspension work.

    Is this something your shop could do? If so, how much would you approximate the cost being? Thanks in advance.

    Well to answer you question even if it is a little late. Yes we do all sorts of custom fabrication. As far as how much and how long...For this particular job we would like for you to come in and sit down with us for a detailed evaluation and estimate. I know you said you found a shop in Minnesota that does it and if you get that information then we can get a good idea of what is entailed. We then could see if there was some savings to be had for you, and you wouldn't have to ship the car off to the great white north! Give us a call or just keep us posted, we would love to have the opportunity to do this job for you.
