Default Turbo Automatic or All motor?

Well after i get my body work on the car I'm going to focus on the motor.. the new teggy project I have is a 99 Automatic GS Integra (keep in mind OBD2).. Should I do turbo the automatic? or Should I do a swap and just build it?

Why'd you pick up an automatic one to begin with? I say put a high-stall torque converter on there and some sort of shorter geared front differential to help with pickup around town. Turbo that and it should be a fun ride.

Hello............I have the manifold and the turbo here at home....and jus get a obd2-obd1 conversion harness........plus the gt28 BB will spool at very low rpm range....so just get that adn a jdm automatic tranny computer and ecu so that you can rev a lil higher and higher shift points and some injectors and fpr........and get it chipped with chrome and tuned

    CANT CHIP AUTOMATIC ECUs!!!

Ditch the automatic, its worthless an heres why:

    1) Shitty power levels. Stock honda trannys can only take 50-60whp over stock before they pop

    2) cant chip an auto ecu, cant tune with it so that means you have to run a shitty FMU setup

    3) They make 50-60LESS WHP than a car with the same mods with a manual transmission. I have done Turbo kits on auto hondas, they SUCK.

dont do it, not worth it.

Even after say a 4500rpm stall speed converter and a 4.44 or 4.76 axle ratio? that should help the motor get into the upper revs quickly. I agree all-motor would be a dog but with boosting it should spool 500rpm slower or so but combined with the uprated TC you should be able to leave the line at full boost (traction WILL be a problem).

It cant be that bad of a car, low-end will suck, but I wouldnt even bother trying if the tranny will blow that easily. Are those power ratings for blown trannies including using transmission oil coolers and synthetic fluid? Does anybody make race-quality rebuild kits?

Granted this may be apples to oranges since most of this is comparing 5spd to automatic WRXs. My car spools a lot quicker after the 5spd swap but I've also got a more aggressive tune. 1st gear was slow unless I launched it but after that it hauled. Comparing dynos the autos would dyno less power but be just as fast down the strip, the torque curves were always more linear on the autos too.

if you do plan on keeping the auto tranny holla at these people!!!

    http://www.levelten.com/

Plus try to find an auto GSR(or B16) tranny. I know you can get a complete auto GSR swap for like $1600 from Jhot.
