the problems w/ the majority of xs pwr kits i've seen:
    1. bov causes vac leaks because the top doesn't seal.
    2. bov causes boost leaks because the piston doesn't seal.
    3. poor manifold materials/welds cause it to break quickly.
    4. same manifold used on most of the kits so it may not be a/c compatible like they say it will be.
    5. wastegate and/or placement causes boost creep.
    6. boost leak before turbo because collector not always welded fully.
    7. charge pipes not bolt-on w/o being modified...may not be bolt-on like they say.
    8. poorly constructed turbo's fail quickly...sometimes before the first week is over.
    9. no/poor fuel management.

a lot of this adds up to fix/modify and you end up spending much more up to the cost of a custom kit installed at a shop.

i would recommend the mainstream kit installed over one of these anyday.

check out their post in the sponsor's section, but i think you're around $3500...don't quote me on that.

the last few folks that came in w/ those ebay kits ended up spending more after it was all said and done because of all the problems w/ the kit/install, etc.

the only way you'll end up cheaper is if you can do the install/fabrication yourself to correct the issues w/ the ebay kit.

12psi max with a good tune. I think that is all the stock MAP sensor will take anyways. I'd have a 8psi wastegate spring and buy a manual boost controller also. I'd run 8psi daily and 12psi occasionally. I'm running a XSpower manifold and it looks good. It is one of their new pieces and looks to be braced pretty well, can't beat it for the price even if it needed to be rewelded. I think they fixed there newer turbos and have heard good things from them as long as you run an oil restrictor w/ them. I personally wouldn't buy their wastegate, just b/c if that sticks then it might cost you a motor. Haven't heard anything about their BOVs, but those arent that expensive and if you really want to save money just buy a dsm one for like 15buks. Their Intercooler looks good for the money too, kinda hard to mess up an intercooler you know. Just spend some extra $$ and get good fuel managment and have it tuned good and I think you'll be good to go

12psi is the max because the map will not pick up the psi in the manifold. I think the stock map is 1.5 bar so you will need a different map 2 bar or higher if your motor can handle the boost.

stock is actually 1.8bar=11ish psi. you can run more through it, but you'll only be using the 11ish psi columns for any fuel and timing beyond that, so it's not a good idea especially if you get creep or spike.

stock internal 8psi all day and depending on turbo you can push higher, but you get further outside of your window of reliability.

But after I get the kit i gonna get the TIAL WASTEGATE from Mainstream & HKS blow off valve.Eventaully i will also have them make me a turbo Manifold.I am thinking of getting 450cc injectors or whatever is recommended as far as fuel injectors. And i know its a must that i get it tuned! But i feel the kit off of ebay is a step.Once its here I already planned to replace certain stuff cause i knew they will go bad eventually. But its between these two kits off of ebay take a look and let me knwo which one would be the better one for me!

yea, those xs power kits are horrible. if anything, at least replace the turbo BOV and wastegate... but parts for b series motors are so reasonable, im sure you can find a used manifold, downpipe and a used bov and wastegate on this site somewhere. thats the best way if your gonna go budget... but one thing, if you going to go budget, at least put the money down for a new turbo, or if you get a used one, send it off to be rebuilt, and dont take a risk with a used or "no name" compressor... its jsut asking for bad things to happen.

whats your budget, im sure with 1500 invested you could have everything you need. stuff like oil lines, get those from sumit, i just got all new parts for my oil return and it cost around 50 dollars and they are all nice aluminum AN fittings. you just nede to search around, especially before dumping money into a turbo kit that will blow up more than likely.

The XS power kits arent bad, but they are STARTER kits. what i tell everyone is if you are cheaping out by buying a CHEAP kit, just be prepared to spend the money to make it right.

Usually what i tell customers is this:
    1) buy a REAL WASTEGATE, Tial is $200 38mm
    2) Turbos are hit an miss, i have people with over 1.5 years on XS turbos with no problems, i have guys with 1 month an the seals blow out, or the shaft disentigrates
    3) Buy REAL oil lines, dont use the cheap ass lines that come with the kit. Oil lines and fittings should run no more than $50-75 stainless braided
    4) The manifold are pretty crappy, i have about 5 of them here that we replaced with OUR log manifolds. But they are hit an miss, some work, some break less than 20 miles later. I would try to get the LOVEFAB knockoff manifold, that has a twisted look to it. I havent seen one of those break yet. Also, XS power had a newer manifold with multiple braces on it that was sposed to somewhat fix the cracking issues.
    5) BUY 450cc injectors from a DSM $60-80. Buy a EF CRX/CIVIC resistor box for $20.
    6) CHIP YOUR ECU TO RUN CROME PRO , digitalboxtuning.com can do it for you LOCALLY

We charge $600-900 to install the kits depending on what you get. IE if it is really a bolt on kit, its $600. if you get the one that NOTHING fits, i charge more depending on what needs to be modified.

If your on a budget, dont be scared of buying it, but just be prepared to replace something if it breaks.
