    Default Skunk2 Pro1 H22 Dyno Inside

One of my customers has an h22 swapped Del Sol. The motor was bone stock an he competes pretty regularly in all the local track events.

At the last track event, he mishifted an got some valve noise. He decided to take it down over the winter and build the head.

    Previous setup:
STOCK H22 LONGBLOCK (stock intake manifold, stock tb, stock cams)
    RSR header
    2.5in crush bent exhuast

    New Setup:
    Stock h22 block
    Skunk2 PRO1 Camshafts
    Skunk2 Valvesprings and Retainers
    Skunk2 Flat Faced Valves
    RSR header
    2.5in crush bent exhaust.

Got a chance to dyno it last night, this was a quick tune, as he didnt have the funds to tune it for along amount of time. But the gains were impresseive to say the least. He is gonna enjoy it, and bring it back in march to see if we can crack 200whp which im sure its more than capable of.

    BLUE=OLD SETUP
    RED=NEW SETUP WITH SKUNK2 PRO1 CAMSHAFTS

As you can see, the new cams dominate EVERYWHERE in the powerband, as much as 28-30whp in some spots.

We will switch headers im sure by next year. but i thought this was great info for you H22 guys with stock bottom ends.

FYIur dyno is VERY CONSERVATIVE, its very rare to make over 200whp on our dyno. most stock h22s with i/h/e make between 165whp-175whp.

WOW that h22 should easily be in the 200whp because h22 swapped accord with i/h/e put down 190hp and like 150 ish tq but like u said your dyno is conservative. that motor should be easily seeing 210whp. the tq is to low 146. but all in all good numbers i guess. BTW y is the dyno conserative???

again, i keep seeing this on several boards.

Dynos are not all the same, motors are not all the same.

I HAVE NEVER HAD AN H22 WITH BOLT ONS MAKE MORE THAN 174whp. NEVER whether it was an accord , prelude, etc.

so even at that he made 18whp increase if we use the HIGHEST whp h22 i have ever seen with bolt ons.

    its a real world gain

how much of a difference does that header make? I'll be up there soon to break that H22 record (i'm hoping!!!) I got a H22+intake & exhaust but stock headerr w/ Pro 1's going in it probably next week if time allows. how big of a deal is the header?

those are pretty good numbers for an h22.

I like the increase all across the board it made

my buddy ryan (highschool) made 165whp on batlgrounds dyno a few years ago in his prelude w/ just apexi dunk catback exhaust, tuned VAFC, and AEM CAI.

is that the accord in your sig?? you got any better pics it almost looks like mine. I'm hoping to break 200 also. I don't have a header and not sure whether i should wait and get one first before going to the dyno to tune it? not sure if it makes a big difference

Yea dont bother to say the torque wont be even close.. The k series has better gearing and thats about it.. I have 195hp n/a with just 4 boltons and tuning..on a h22..Oh and 162ft/tq wanna see a k do that...You could save enough to build the h22 ...lol

    an your point is?

one costs $3000 MORE than the other
    H22 swap from Hmotorsonline.com $2000
    K20A2 swap from Hmotorsonline.com $4200, KPRO $1000

forget the fact taht the h22 is WAY easier to install than the K20 cost wise as the K20 needs alot more stuff to run.

I dont see the point of your post, thats like me posting a Turbo D series graph making 190whp and you saying "A GSR TURBO MAKES MORE" duh, we all know that

so someone help me out here. I have a H22 w/ intake, upgraded valvetrain, custom cat-back exhaust, skunk2 pro1 on the way in right now and a STOCK header. will it make a worthwhile difference to put some kind header (dc sports or something lower class) on it or just leave it w/ the stock header and have it tuned that way?

aftermarket header will make better power. if you plan on replacing the header soon then tuning first then replacing header wouldn't be adviseable unless you don't mind a slight retune after adding the new header.

my main point being is it worth it for the time being because if I get a header it will be longer before I can afford to get it tuned

HAVE YOU HEARD OF SKUNK2, 367whp K23 NA??

    HAVE YOU HEARD OF NORRIS?

dude, im MR. ALL MOTOR around here, i hold the record for the HIGHEST WHP HONDA MOTOR IN GEORGIA, 237whp/159TQ.

stop name dropping, i know Tony SHagday, David Hsu, Ron, Nikos, and more. Im actually conducting a Skunk2 vs IPS camshaft duel this weekend. They both sent me cams for free to settle a debate. check it out on K20a.org

your comments about K series are worthless in regard to this thread. who gives a shit about a K series. THe price this guy has in his H22 is about $3000 CHEAPER THAN A STOCK K20A2 swap.

Ks are cool, but they are $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
