Correction. If I remember correctly my honda tech friend told me that right after 2000, Honda discontinued the 9K revlimit. This was due to people blowing the motor profusely in North America, thus complaints. Several in Europe and Asia too.

I would go for the 2000 Model. The 2000 model would be what I call the "purist" model. No wussy traction control and had a 9k rev limit with power towards the top. People in the U.S. love torque so much that they constantly make honda change engineering just to try... (try) to please the market. Honda has a history of lowering rev-limits and increasing bottom end torque in alot of other models for their succeeding years.

The only downside about the 2000 model is that the top comes with a plastic rear window, not glass like the latter years. If I could afford it, I would get that Mugen hardtop ::joy:: .....wish a cusco roll cage..... ::joy::
