i would just go ahead and do it yourself.. you'll have some fun and you wont screw it up to bad theres not to much detail in those wheels..

don't let them paint the outside of the little lip...next time you have tires put on it will probably be scraped off and the rest will flake. I've painted dozens of wheels

I would let a shop do it, $75 is a pretty good deal, and ensures it will be done right.

yea that is true... dont paint the outside of the lip unless you make sure they mount your tires with care...

I sprayed both sets of these wheels and Droptopdrifter has some pics of his white miata when he sprayed his with the Duplicolor bronze.

    old rover...

ah, just found these pics, one is just the wheels painted & the second is the roof rack painted to match [Duplicolor graphite wheel paint]. Sprayed the hood satin black to take the glare off it then used silver pinstriping to cover up the masked paint line... [the above pic was taken after cutting off the lower part of the front bumper w/ a dremel tool, more clearance!]

well the reason im lettin the shop do em is so that the finished product is glossy...i mean i guess i could do it myself with that duplicolor paint but im not sure if theyd come out lookin as glossy as id like

Paint shops can put any paint you want in an aerosal can if you don't have a spray gun, just like buying it in a quart can. But for the price just take it to them....by the time you sanded and cleaned your wheels you'd have more time into it than it's worth.

It's not that hard to paint your wheels, just need some time. I did a few wheels before and they come out fine. Total coast like $20 or less. Im about to do some LS mesh, either black with red lip or gold with polished lip. Ill post some pic's up when I get done
