Personally i'd pick up an older RS and start from there if you're seriously modding it...taillights, headlights, and front bumper cover would make it look like a '97-01 but you may have to deal with more basic maintainence issues...wheel bearings, bushings, etc.

I can reproduce my car plus do everything else i have ever had planned for it with a '94-95 RS for less than half what i have into it now...but i also have an '01 GS-R which if put back to stock would still have a high resale value.

It's up to you, you're budget, and what you have planned.

So if I am wanting to go turbo and spend less money for mods, then the LS would be my best option, but If i just wnat some speed with a few bolt-ons here and there, then the GSR would be rest. I do have a tight budget, and i want to go turbo, so i'm guessing the LS would be the best....right?????
