are you sure you dont have an oil leak somewhere and its getting sucked in there? It might just be residue from an oil leak on your engine... since the turbo spins its balls off and sucks everything/anything in...

You can go to Turbo Disel Injection in forest park and buy new bearings and C clips and thrust Bearings pretty Cheap.
They also do wheel balance for 38.00 and have it back too you the next day!!

Rebuilding turbo is super easy and cheap also!

yes im sure now because i had a leak around the distibutor and thought that was it but i had that fixed and wiped the turbo off real good and reved it with my hand and watched it and oil started to come out, before i had my return line changed and put the wrong size on and my car smoked like crazy and fixed that problem then this started.

you should be able to get out of the shop for under $300 depending on brand/model. I know my KKK27 turbo coasts around $450 for a center cartridge alone, but something like a Garrett Gt35 or something could be rebuilt for $250 at most shops.
