im gonna buy my own repair kit for 90 bux..
and ship it back to the seller for balancing for free (minus shipping)
usually, shops cost upwards of 300-400 per.
are you sure you dont have an oil leak somewhere and its getting sucked in there? It might just be residue from an oil leak on your engine... since the turbo spins its balls off and sucks everything/anything in...
The EMPIRE

yes im sure now because i had a leak around the distibutor and thought that was it but i had that fixed and wiped the turbo off real good and reved it with my hand and watched it and oil started to come out, before i had my return line changed and put the wrong size on and my car smoked like crazy and fixed that problem then this started.Originally Posted by EmminoDaGreat
you should be able to get out of the shop for under $300 depending on brand/model. I know my KKK27 turbo coasts around $450 for a center cartridge alone, but something like a Garrett Gt35 or something could be rebuilt for $250 at most shops.
