Actually, the ECU does see what gear it is in (RPM vs Speed) and makes changes to the fuel table for a the gear. Different gearing will put a different load on the engine, thus it will affect the a/f.Originally Posted by Mr. 2JZKIDD
Another thing, a transmission is just a TORQUE MULTIPIER, you are rating the horsepower of the engine, not how the transmission will multiply the torque.
