I cant release much info about it, but i cant hold it in. I sold my old 2.0l LSVTEC block to a VERY GOOD friend of mine. He had already bought all the neccesary top end parts and lacked a bottom end. Since we knew my block was proven to make the power he wanted, an me wanting the block to go to a good home, we worked out a deal.
I drove the block down to DFE Enterprises aka DonF aka Don Flores. He was the genius that assembled the motor for me in the first place. Back at its place of birth it received some freshing up as i had put 300+ 9500+RPM dyno pulls on it. Upon dissaembly, the motor looked great. Bearing had normal wear, block was in tip top shape.
Sadly, it was discovered that my oil burning problem was coming from coilbind on my old Rocket Motorsports valvetrain, the Skunk2 PRO3s i was running were just to big an were crushing my valve stem seals.
Enough of the chit chat, heres what we got for j00
2.0l Darton Sleeved BLock
CP 12.2:1 pistons
Eagle Rods
ACL Race Bearings
Skunk2 Hand Ported Race Prepped Cylinder Head
Skunk2 PRO3 Camshafts (my old bumpstix)
Skunk2 PRO Series ValveSprings and Retainers
Skunk2 PRO series Cam gears
TWM Induction ITBs with Carbon Air Horns
RMF/SMSP Header (pick one , we had 4)
STOCK LS CRANK
We had a Skunk2 Digital CNC head that had an issue with it, and Skunk2 was kind enough to send us out one of their hand ported gems. Should be back on the Engine dyno in the next week.
I cant release the numbers YET, but its making more than my old motor. Makes me VERY happy as i have alot of personal attatchment to that motor. I now get to see what it makes with ITBs and a badass cylinder head, something i was always lacking.
Be on the lookout for it at a MSPi Dyno Day near you VERY SOON, possibly NOPI
Just thought id let you guys know that there will be a NAST NA motor roaming the streets still
