better to spend the extra $500 on forged internals up front and have a little security/reliability, than waste more money and time to rebuild it a SECOND time when i decide to go bigger in the future. it's not like i spent $2000 to sleeve the block...

as far as the turbo size...mang i said i was building a fast daily driven STREET car. not a trailer queen or a track car. what good is 600whp gonna really do me from stop light to stop light on a boosted FWD car?

i admit tho, i was shooting for 300whp...if i didnt get the gt28r for dirt cheap, i'd have probably went a little bigger for sure. and in the future i plan to. but i'm new to the turbo game...so cut me some slack
I saw the high millage but didn't see that it was leaking oil. In that case I understand your investment.

Many people do turbo setups on high millage motors

Lol so a leak is all it takes to convince you to rebuild an engine??

...Well either that or you realized you were wrong.

leaking / burning oil is no good. It will cause bigger problems in the near future.

There are plenty high millage Honda engines that are running strong, but looks like his wasn't in that good shape.

so yes, depending on the oil loses I'd go for a rebuild as well.
