    Default mmm Savannah Georgia....

Okay so here's the deal. I'm from Savannah, and there are no good cars. So I'll give you guys the full update on the SAVANNAH STREET RACING CLUB.

Top 1 = Old guy who drives an S2000
Top 2 = Another guy who has a Celica-Supra Mk. II
Top 3 = Another old guy with a Jaguar XK coupe
Category A = Several people with old 6cyl stangs
Category B = a few more people with Z cars
Category C = a few people with exhaust and bodykit only civics (96 era coupe)

Obviously, there is nothing going on at all. Except, I'm way into supra's and RX-7's, so I've been identifying cars around and stuff. I've seen 3 supras, a nonturbo but exhaust-ed white one, a nonturbo stock silver one, and I couldn't see the back of it but it was a black and had the wing. oh yeah and one RX-7 2nd generation coupe, with the scoop so I'm assuming its either a turbo or turbo II 13B. So that's the story. Any thoughts?

Are you sure that you are from Savannah? MY cousin lives down there and has introduced me to a lot of street racers down there. My cousin drives an older RX7. Another friend of mine lives there, he has a bottle-fed 2nd gen RX7. I know another guy there with a widebody FD, and one of his friend's just sole his twin-turbo Vipper and is building a even more powerfull twin-turbo Z06. There is a small shop over new Derenne that build some turbo Hondas, old 442s, etc. There are always folks ready to run down there. Oh yeah, and if you run down to Tybee, you can figure out where they are running real quick. Hell, you can hear it all the way down to where the old Desoto was.

lol, sorry if I insulted anyone, but I just couldn't find anyone with experience around savannah. Thanks for the tip on the shop by Derenne I'll stop by sometime. Oh yeah and I saw a 442 down here it was pretty cool. Oohhh the old desoto off of butler... I am at tybee right now. A widebody FD? thats a hot car even without engine mods haha. The only shop I've seen is that Nopi shop between all the car dealers... do you know of any places in savannah that have dynos? I have a friend that just picked up an Integra GS and we want to check some numbers and all. Thanks again

Not sure on dynos. I'll ask my cousin - I'm sure there has to be one down there. A guy named Adam has a 2nd gen down there - he would definately know about the dynos. He is mazdaspeed7 on rx7club.com

Theres a dyno on abercorn ( shops called STperformance, its attacted to Savannah Tire ) Adam has taken his car apart for now, and the twin turbo viper ( garys ) was replaced by a newer tt viper, that was totalled, he's now shopping another viper ( the vettes his dads and not likely mike ( the dad ) would tt it. As for the savannah street racing scene? LOL where are you looking? BY the way theres a savannah site ( savannahracing.com ) but its new still....

You cruising 3mph up and down River St. street? Everytime i'm there I see tons of cars around, just check the better sides of town, but organized street racing is pretty lame...Roebling Road is 10 minutes away.

Just imagine all the cars that are coming in the overseas containers

Seen 2 skylines, at the port impound although not at the same time... other then that nothing super impressive. And yeah the street racing scene isn't big here yet. We're getting better though. Mostly thanks to a few shops just starting to get there reputations built up.

My cousin and Joe were down at that dyno on Abercorn earlier this afternoon. I'm probably going to run down there with the Mustang when I have it running right.

There are definately cars here, just getting them togeather is near impossible, especially with the cops here.
