    Default Building Turbo Setup for 2005 RSX-S

    I have a friend with a 2005 RSX-S who wants to turbo it. I'm pretty educated when it comes to turbo's and how the turbo system works but I've never put together a setup by myself.

    We are hoping to get somewhere around 300hp to the wheels and not spend more than $1800.00 or so.

    Any Suggestions on where to start? I'm thinking its going to be best to put the setup together myself instead of buying a kit which would cost much more...

    it'll cost more than $1800 especially if you want all brand new parts.

    Turbo= $600+
    Manifold=$600+ (not sure on RSX manifolds)
    Intercooler=$500+
    Piping= $400+
    BOV=$250+
    Wastegate=$400+
    Injectors=$300+
    Tuning=$150 /hour

    thats over $1800 already....plus all the little fabrication fees and msic stuff you will need.

    Unless you can find a used kit and look hard its hard to get a good quality kit for $1800.

    1800 is not going to cut it. If u are strepped for cash your best bet will be to buy a used kit.

    Then u will ned to get engine management (k-pro) and i think that costs almost 1000. Then a boost controler, Gauges, clutch, ect.... Its going to add up.

    cybernation is garbage, EVERYTHING they have is garbage. To NOT blow up your car you are going to need K pro and someone to tune it. We knew a guy who had a greddy kit on his rsx and with e manage it blew a ringland on #4. Kpro is $1000 alone. It wont happen man, I dont think you can even pick up a jrsc for that.
