    Default Autozone axles are strong!

Some Autozone axles are strongger then what you guys think...
Recently we went to NDRA in valdosta and i thought it was my tranny that broke from the 26's... it was actually the intermediate shaft that broke.

I would think the axle would have broken first but the intermediate shaft broke instead.

    (BTW...Yes i am bored )

holy shit dude how the hell do you brake the halfshaft? but yeh autozone axles are the shit, plus the lifetime warranty they give. I've been through 3 pepboys axles in the last 3 weeks, either there something wrong with there axles or they are poorly remanufactured.

actually they are pretty strong.... we've ran constant 10's and a few 9 second passes on autozone axles and i've only replaced them 2 times in almost 2 race seasons. but you're always worring about snapping them eventually....

getting some DSS stage 5's here soon...

guess the half shaft was getting weak from over time.

I'd stick with them man... you WANT a "fuse" in the driveline... something that you WANT to break. If I had my choice it'd be axles all day... easy to swap out, easy to have spares. When you go StageV and make your tranny splines the new "fuse" (weak spot) you might change your mind.

i have a spare tranny now if that happens..as for the quaife... its lifetime too

just like peter...he broke his tranny 2x before he broke the oem axles...

ever since i got this coupe...i have never had a complete run cause of the axles... the backup tranny will be sent in pretty soon too...

i get what you're saying though... thanks for the advice
