    Default Supercharged M3's?

Anyone know much about them? I'm talking the E46 body style. Trying to get a feel for what I want to do next and there was a Supercharged BMW M3 that caught my attention. I checked Dinans website and their kit is like $20k And puts out around 423hp, not sure if thats crank or to the wheels either.

I know stock M3's dyno around 280 so I'm sure 423 would be pretty nice if its to the wheels.

I've heard of them blowing up a lot at high rpms.

A boosted M3 with supporting suspension mods would be a fun drive but all the parts would be very expensive.

I've done some research and there are cheaper kits, didnt know the M3 rods are forged.. with the high compression they're running around 5psi and putting down over 400whp. Strange thing is you dont see many Supercharged M3's running in the 11's regardless of horsepower.

Yeah I probably will.. I've given up on the GT-R because of the direction they're going in with that car. Love the new G but I know it'll be a couple of years before there is any forced induction offered for it.. dunno I'll figure it out soon I'm sure.

hasha, well the engine is the same as older one isnt it? if so, kits shouldnt be too far off... what u mean by direction on gtr?

Its no problem.. supposedly the new coupe will have a 3.7L engine and higher compression ratio so that changes a lot, which means APS and JWT will have to go back to the drawing board.

As far as the GT-R, I'll say this while trying to not seem snobbish... after having dealt with both Infiniti and Nissan I'll be damned if I pay $60k-$70k for a car and have to go to deal with Nissan's service, not when I can own a G35 and get great service. I'm partial to G35's anyway.

I dunno if I posted this before or not but... My buddy has a e36 m3 with the 3.2 m power swap (eurospec motor) and he has problems getting traction on his BGF G forces just with headers, exhaust, intake and tuned engine. AND the vanos is wayyyy off and it runs like hell. So I would definatly go turbo because that car has plenty of pickup with just simple mods. Even with what he has hell race damn near anyone within reason. And the way his valve timing is currently hell still run from the blue lights... I know Ive been with him when hes done it....

Don't like the e36.. I didnt say it before but when you're daily driver was putting down 417whp.. 423whp is quite slow when you want something more.

And I ran a couple of those e36 M3's with the eurospec motors.. they are fast but once I finally caught traction in third it was all over..

Dinan is not known for their huge amount of horse power gains. They are known for their extreme reliability and warranty. They will fix anything on your car that is broken as long as it was their supercharger's fault. It also is so expensive because Dinan is known as the BMW dealer of performance parts and you are buying a name.
Personally I would go with an e36 with an Active Autowerke Twin Screw Supercharger. I believe you will then be pushing 418 hp at the crank. This will burn any e46. Check out their website.
