LS tranny has the longest gears...

definitely don't use the b16 tranny, those things are way too short.

gsr...i run one and im very happy with it. untill you are really fast use thegsr. im going through the traps in 4th gear with plenty of room to go. if you have a stock motor as i do you will run slower with the ls trans in the 1/4 that with the gsr trans. once you decide its time to go after those 120+mph trap speeds go with the ls.

Just keep the GSR we trap anywhere from 130-150mph on them on top of 4th gear...

    i would personally want a b16 1st and 2nd maybe 3rd then gsr 4th and 5th..

reason being... faster 330ft and 60ft cause of acceleration then staying in gear longger in 4th....

i hate shifting to 5th in my H22 just or bangging off 4th

i would go with the GSR or stay with the b16 (regardless of the gears being short).. it gives me a bad taste saying B16 with LS Tranny. gears are long and all and thats great but it just dont taste right.

True that would be a awesome setup, I actually loved my ITR tranny when I was boosted with it....

This is the way I see it.
    B16 tranny= track
    LS tranny= highway
GSR tranny= best of both world.

Dont know much about Hondas but short gears rock. I've got 4.44s in my WRX and each gear hauls.

yeah i would go with the GSR tranny, I always seem to get out of the whole just as fast as any LS or SI and once I get third I'm gone, man stick with GSR.

gsr with lsd b16 turbo setup would probably be the best route to go

wondering about this myself. i have a gsr with a b16 tranny and am looking to go turbo in the near future. 80mph at 4krpms isn't the greatest, but i been living with it for 3 years and my mpg is still good...

the short gears gonna be an issue with the turbo though? the tranny has phantom grip lsd (came with the car when i got it), how does that compare to quaife or OEM?

Phantom grip is trash. Just get an ITR LSD and you will be fine!

lol...yeah i am not too impressed with it either, i was wondering if the whole LSD thing is just overrated. i have a gt28 ball-bearing turbo, that thing should spool pretty quick. consensus so far seems to be that the b16 tranny's gears are too short for the setup...

GSR. The revs really aren't that much higher... And the thing that matters the most at crusing speed is throttle %.

definately gsr. b16 tranny is no where near geared long enough for turbo set up.

too long of gear will drop you out of your power band. but if cruising is what you would like to do then ls or GSR

won't be on the track with it really...it's my daily driver. so i guess gsr is the way to go then. although i been running the b16 tranny for almost 3 years now, so i am used to it. i'm thinking of just getting a real LSD for this tranny and seeing how it goes for now, rather than dropping the $$$ on a new tranny...

The phantom grips are fine for road racing, they are NOT for drag at all, thats why they break. they arent made to stand up to launching.

If its gonna be a street car that gets driven hard from time to time, dont worry about the LSD, unless you want it done when we swap motors out, that makes it EASIER lol
