i did it with my old del sol... what did i think about it? well... it was an improvement
car was red... sorta.... was every shade of red and one door had a pinstripe... had faded clearcoat all over it and scratches and wel... frankly it looked like shit
i primed and did some body work and such......... then just hosed the sucker with some flat black
the "flat black" i went with turned out to be kinda grey to
Mine really dosn't leave the garage. People across the street think it is a tool bench.
lol, u just decribed my car, im not lookin for anything special, just an improvement....and for my car to only be one color
that was my logic too lolOriginally Posted by Halfwit

i was thinkin about doin this also. uproot, did you use a spray gun or just the rattlecan? and is it hard to wash when its dirty?? a lot of the guys on hondatech that rock the flat black use a sparay gun with john deere blitz black paint. i heard thats what a lot of the ol hot rodders use too.

the john deere paint i believe you can get it at home depot or places like that. i found out on honda-tech so u might wanna check there. also, i think it is sold by the gallon only, no rattlecan. as for rattlecan i heard rustoleum satin black or krylon semi-flat does pretty good too. but it looks like uproots car came out pretty good with the bumper trim paint.Originally Posted by Halfwit

Satin black FTW!
man i would sooo do this, but the only thing stopping me is that the engine bay would still be redi take pride in a good looking engine bay and itd just look tacky a diff color than the rest of the car.
