usually when i build a mtr, i get like .020 oversized pistons and have the cylinders bored and honed so the new rings can make their own seat. I also get the crank microspolished and get all new bearings (rob and main bearings). An oe headgasket will do for the power ur tryin got make. If u can, i would get ARP headstuds for extra support holding the head to the block. A new seal kit and depending on milage, a new oil pump and that should do it for the block.
