    Default What FMU to get?

Which FMU should I get if I am running just a small T3 on my Integra LS? I was thinking the vortech, but what ratio is needed?

get some injectors and an AFC. FMU's are a piss-poor method of fuel control on a boosted car and you'll be missing out on a good bit of HP for any given boost level.

even better...get injectors and socket/chip ecu and some tuning and you're in better shape.

I'm surprised of your stupid suggestions .. only this guy ^^ gave some good advice

    - FMU sucks major ass for turbo applications, don't even consider that one
    - AFC is kinda better than the FMU, but sucks as well due to not controlling the timing
    - Controlling fuel is not what gives you power, timing is. Fuel delivery just determines if you'll go, or you'll go booooom .. and not go at all

If it's gonna be a hack, then EManage it is. However, a chipped ECU or a stand alone is what you need for best results

Thank you for the help. All I am building on my car is a small turbo, nothing big or extremely fast. So in saying that, what would you recommend for injectors?

^350's or 440's and plz man atleast use a piggyback system like SAFC. Do it right the first time. Use a real engine mgt tool and get tuned thats the only way you're gonna get performance and RELIABLITY as well has hit decent numbers. I think running a AFC hack is damn near cheaper than FMU.

Also, Is there any oil line kit that will just screw into the drain plug on the oil pan instead of having to drill into the oil pan????

what are you gonna do about the timing ? ... or you'll just wait until you blow the head gasket

Like I said, I'm not trying to go all out, but just enough to run a safe turbo on my Integra. So would injectors and a chipped ecu do the trick? Please no smart ass answers, I know a good bit about turbo applications, but when it comes to ECU's and Fuel management I can't say I'm your #1 guy.

Also, I'm not really trying to boost over 8 psi.

Another thing: trying to find intercooler piping has been difficult. Yes on ebay there are these BS kits that go for $150 and up, but can a local shop make me some for cheaper or what? I've heard its not difficult to make some, but I'm not Mr. Mechanic with tools to bend pipes.

until I made mine reliable at 8psi I went through so many problems ... but straight to your question: 450cc injectors should do the job for you, and a chipped ECU with Uberdata is your cheapest answer. intercooler you can find at www.jhonnyracecar.com , and pipping - you can order some 180 deg bends from www.tunertoys.com - I used 4 of them for my Civic. You'll need a set of couplers as well.

    good luck

    Thank you.

Now, I'm sure this is on here somewhere, but if I convert my 2000 LS to a OBD1, will it pass emissions? I have heard this talk from somewhere.

well thanks... i was merely offering an inexpensive and pretty universal solution to his fuel issues that would be far better than an FMU. i never said it was the best setup in the world, but for a low-buck turbo setup it'll work just fine.

tuning will be the same pricing regardless of what set up you go with. however, i can get you an ecu ready to go and harness for less than you can buy an afc installed.

regarding your 2000 civic...i've been boosted in my 2000 civic almost 3 years now and i've passed emissions legally every year.

it takes about an hour of work before going and an hour after to get my car back to the way it was, but it's well worth it.

let me know if you have any questions or need an ecu/tuning.
