Default I had to defend us this weekend

Well some of you guys may know that I plan on buy my turbo parts next year, well over the weekend I got with one of my friends with a golf 1.8T, and he was hell bent on telling me that if I boost my car, it will blow, I tried to explain to him that any body who engine blow after putting in a turbo is either an idiot themselves or the installer is an idiot, so I am out to show him something.

It's not a given that it will blow but a good possibility.

Just dont cut any corners with the turbo kit and you'll be fine, at least for a couple thousand miles. Stock internals arent going to want to run big boost.

As long as you use quality parts then the next most important thing will be the TUNE! Whatever you do don't get impatient and try to run the car without the proper tune setup, this will be a costly mistake. Just remember how long you've waited and think that a little extra time to make sure that everything is how it should be before you boost will pay huge dividends. Good luck

You may want to talk to Vteckidd a little more about the turbo. I know they are using the T3 HO turbo with their kits and that turbo is a badass. I am not sure if it would be too much for your setup but I wouldn't think so. It's worth asking about anyway, you may be able to get a better turbo for the same or less money.

yea, vteckidd is the one that is going to be working on my car, he pretty much told me that set up to run with, I was going do some other stuff, they say I should get 9.0:1 compression, but I would have to get that custom made they only sell 8.5:1 off of the shelf. all I really need to find out is the intercooler size, that is my biggest question
