    Default tire size ?

i just got some new rims for my 350z. i got 19x8.5 in the front and 19x9.5 in the rear. i'm having trouble finding a set of 4 tires for under $650 for these wheels so i checked ebay. the only sets of 4's i'm able to find are for 245/35/19 in the front & 275/30/19 for the rear. why would you put a smaller tire hieght in the rear and a taller 1 in the front? Also, does any1 know a place to get cheap generic off brand tires? thanks,

Mine really dosn't leave the garage. People across the street think it is a tool bench.

The rear tire is not shorter if they were sized correctly.

Basically the three numbers break down like this

First number is a measurement of the tire from the outside bead to the inside bead (the bead is the part of the tire that goes behind the lip of the rim)

The second number is a height to width ratio of the first number.

The last number is the diamater of your rim.

For some cars- like S2ks and BMW's- we have to stagger our profile sizes to ensure proper fitment. For either a Z or a G35* the profiles are the same from the factory. Most are 225/45/18 and 245/45/18. Make sure you do research on each tire to figure out why it costs what it costs.... I could probably get you a set- call me at wrk. 404-296-3838 ask for Z.
