    Default k-swap pricing

    I wanted to do a k-swap to my 2000 civic si, so i wondered how much would it cost me?
    most of the prices are from hybrid-racing.com
    This is what i found.

    mounts= 399
    axels = 270
    throttle cable = 20
    clutch line = 95
    clutch = 300
    flywheel = 300
    ecu = 100
    kpro =1000
    engine harness= 100
    conversion harness = 350
    fuel rail = 160
    fpr = 180
    fuel pump walbro 255 = 119.00
    fuel lines = 50
    oem injectors 410cc = 200
    rsx shifter = 100
    clutch line kits= 100
    shifter cables = 350
    radiator relocation kit = 20
    radiator = 120
    hose = 20
    coolant temp sensor = 32
    radiator fan switch =47
    intake = 50
    intake manifold = 240
    intake manifold gasket = 50
    throttle body adapter for rbc manifold = 50
    throttle body gasket = 15
    header = 400
    exhaust = 400
    total price? $5448 this is before taxes and shipping. 5829.36 after tax. without shipping. You could buy a RSX type-s if you add a little more. This would also be a swap that is done right, and i'm sure i'm missing some misc things. You could probably save a little money on the swap and cut some corners.
    this is not including the long block of your choice. just the amount of money to get this stupid motor into your car and running. i think i'll stick with my b-series.

    .........its about power to weight. K in a rsx is quick...k in a civic is fast. Worth the money. K series motors kill b series all day.

    They won't keep up with a boosted b-series.

    That doesn't prove a damn thing.
    A k-series making 300 na is not cheap. For the amount of money they spend to make it 300 whp.
    you could have a built and boosted gsr with a lot more power than 300whp.

    Still missing the point...he could boost it...and no b series could fuck with it. He did it to prove it could be done. No b series could ever reach those numbers n/a.

    No, You're missing my point.
    For the price of just the swap you could already have a boosted b-series.
    6000-7000 for a kswap making 200 or 6000-7000 for a built b-series making 450-500

    I can afford it, i just don't see the point. Spend 6-7k to make less power.

    You make less power now, but if you build it and boost it, its worth the money. It's an investment for a reason. Sure i could swap a sr in my 240 but why? Why not spend another 2k and buy a bad ass motor that is capable of higher numbers later on. B series motor have there limitations. From what I've heard they tend to blow up.

    Yeah I've seen many ppl parting stuff out for dirt cheap. Especially if you do it yourself.

    I figured that and I quoted almost everything hybrid racing I saw some stuff that i know i wouldn't have to buy. A buddy of mine told me he got his swap in for 3000 not including the longblock.
    so i had to see it for myself. it's still a lot though.

    these prices are a high you can get the swap done for way less these days if you shop the rite places like k20a or clubrsx.

    Yeah, but i wan't everything new and out of the box so that i can rely on my car for a long time. I'm sure i can find better prices, but i just took a quick look.
    I Would probably get most of those things from other places but either way it's not a cheap swap. It makes more sense to me to just buy a rsx type-s and build that.
    That's why i ruled the k-swap out.
