ok, I have a 2002 civic lx and I want to do a head swap to the EX, so I need the EX ECU? Will it make it easier or harder if I get it?

yeh dude, your motor is fine as it is and by do that lil mini me swap you got there, aint really going to make a big difference, if anything you can save up and do a k20 swap which would be worth the investment depending on what your goals are.Originally Posted by grnb18civic
took the words right out of my mouth, was goin to say k20 in the first place, but didnt, k20 is goin to be my next swap if i dont boost.

yup K20 all the way, I believe its drop and play with new mounts in the new civics, but hasport makes it for the EK models too. Forget boost dude, go K20 all the way N/A that is.
Wow... Yall^ came nowhere near close to answering his question.....
If its anything like the older D 16 civics, youll need the ECU to operate VTEC. LX isnt VTEC , so its ECU cant control it.

its been my experience that you use the ecu from what ever head you have.
