i dont understand y so many people are bashing D- series motors i this its easy fun capable power. im rebuilding a y8 and about to build another y8 for 20+ psi of boost. 1 for the boosted ek coupe and the other for the ek hatch.

I had a d16z6 that made 300+whp. Took some money though. It was a vitara build and held 18psi. Contact S Double C on here. He seems to be an expert even more than I on turbo D series builds.

There's only a few things that dont match here single cam/civic/300 horse power just doesnt happen very often. Maybe like a diamond in a coal mine lol. Na Civic w/ that much horsepower is way to expensive and not worth the hassle.

300whp on a sohc is so easy its not funny. literally $1,000 in the engine build + turbo + supporting fuel / ecu. thats it. it can be done easy on stock cam.

people dont do d's because if you spend $700 on a ls swap and you do the same mods/psi, you can make way more power, more reliably... BUT if your goal is simply 300whp then a single cam will do it with just pistons and rods. glwb

    Once again:
Not dense, I was just implying to the first posts of the thread how people were talking of the NA route. Turboing is common sense before the thread was even started, some people like the NA route Im sorry i didnt read every damn post, thanks again Mountain MAN lol.

I'm just getting back into the civic scene and don't really see the point of spending the extra "$700" on a ls swap when a y8 seems to be quite capable. So same mods y would the B make more power than the D?

more displacement and an extra cam. if you understand how motors work at all you wouldn't be asking this.
