    Default 370z or C6 Corvette

So I'm about to buy a newer car and it has come down between the 370z or the C6 Corvette. My only issues with the Vette is the blah interior but the Z is much more common around me and less power.

As far as the Z, it comes down to a Touring with sport package or the Nismo.
C6 either the coupe or drop top works as long as its manual.

Taking input from you guys as to which you would pick and why, intelligent responses only please haha.

I am in the market for a newer, 2 seater, rear wheel drive, something.... lol

Thanks in advance for your input.

Vette all the way, less common, more power, to me it looks better, and it still gets 25+ mpgs both solid cars though

    Corvette for sure.

The only plus to the 370Z is a nicer interior, everything else the Vette does better while spitting smoke in the Zs face.

I dont understand why everyone bashes c6 interior....How many of you have driven one? Digital dual climate control, nav, kickin bose stereo, leather steering wheel, leather wrap dash option....what else is there to ask for out of a performance coupe?

Now a early c5 is a different story but the c6 has come a long way.

Personally its a no-brain-er for me. c6 hands down. And if its an ls3 car....intake, headers and a tune and you are staring 500whp in the face.

370z is overpriced in my opinion.

370z because I'm not a Chevy fan... unless it's a Z06. Do you got to KSU? I think I've seen the IS in your sig around.

Have you test driven either? I drive/see the 370z everyday at my job and it's got some nice technology behind it.

The early c5 isnt bad either, now when you get to c4 the styling inside and out is hideous...i dont know what else you could ask for interior wise than a vette offers...hell like you said leather, dual climate, nav option...do these people think the interior of a civic or a cracked 240 is better??? And any ls is a very good platform that responds well to bolt ons

The steering wheel in the Corvette is.... well out of an Impala lol. I have gotten used to my IS's interior which is just a lot nicer looking than the vette and closer to the 370z, but then again its a Luxury sport sedan or whatever class it is lol so it is a complete different demographic target than the C6. I more than likely will go with the Vette. I have driven both, i would like to revisit them both also and try them out again now that its getting closer to buying one. And I live near KSU so you may have seen me around, look for the dent in the rear bumper hahaha

I'm a die-hard Mustang guy. Had 8 in 4 years, LOVE them. A C6 Vette... yeah, I'd let it in my garage for a year or two.

Yeah, id say other than the vette having 100 more hp yet still getting the same MPG, having a faster 0-60, 1/4 mile time and top speed that the Z is WAYYYYYYYYY superior.... you know, if youre not looking for power or speed in a sports car.

Edit - just want to clarify that im comparing the 370z to a base 08 vette and *NOT* a z06.....

Do you plan to mod the car? Either way, bang for the buck in the performance category goes to the Vette hands down. Anyone that thinks a 370Z can out perform a C6 Vette mod for mod has no idea what they are talking about.

If it were me, I'd go with the vette.

Just drive the shit out of both and get what suites your needs best.

Very true. Look at the prices of 90s, 80s, 70s Vettes. It is highly unlikely you'll get a good running one for too cheap.

For one, I was never molested. Secondly, I come from a family of Ford enthusiasts hence why I don't like Chevy. I don't need to justify to you or anyone else why I don't like chevy. You sit behind that keyboard and make it seem like chevy is "Gods" gift to the automotive world. If you believe that, you should rethink your values of the automotive industry. The corvette is a great car and chevy did a fantastic job with it. There are nicer, faster, and considerably more reliable cars than a Chevrolet.

I hate Chevys from pure experience and family experience every chevy ive owned was a POS and seem to always need repair. My Father and Brothers tried Chevy and either they Blew, slung a rod or had the infamous chevy lifter/Valve rattle. Chevy has one decent motor that's the LS everything else is pure junk. They should pull a Dodge deal with the HEMI and throw the LS in everything they sell. Ford has the best V6 the 4.0 and a few good V8s 5.4 and 5.0 while even chevy fans admit the Ford Diesel is the work horse of trucks.

I'm a life long ford guy too, i still appreciate chevys. Corvette holds its own with any car in the world

Here's a Corvette from Georgia. I dare you to find me a faster "street" car than this one.

I'm actually the opposite, dude. Driving 450+ miles per day (5 days a week), I see way more than my fair share of Corvettes and not really that many 350/370s. And we're talking all over the Southeast, lolol. Later, QD.

    I must say 370z.
more bang for your buck assuming you are buying a new 370 or a new corvette.
corvette coupe msrp is 49000 brand new. for that you get 430hp and 26 mpgs. that is with no upgrades. fully loaded is alot more expensive
The 370z makes 350hp and it is $10000 cheaper for the loaded nismo version. The 370 looks better, better built, and better interior.
I think $10,000 more than makes up for 80hp.

more bang for your buck assuming you are buying a new 370 or a new corvette.
corvette coupe msrp is 49000 brand new. for that you get 430hp and 26 mpgs. that is with no upgrades. fully loaded is alot more expensive
The 370z makes 350hp and it is $10000 cheaper for the loaded nismo version. The 370 looks better, better built, and better interior.
I think $10,000 more than makes up for 80hp.
