Help keep the wheel centered on the hub, helps prevent vibrations.
need one with an inner diameter of your hub, outside diameter of the wheel bore.
Metal last longer. Plastic are cheaper. I'm using hard plastic ones right now.
need to know anything else?
did it take the bounce the vibration out
i've had both and they both work to keep the vibration down. Plastic sux b/c they deteriorate over time. The metal ones i had lasted no problems. If you plan to drive on them less than 3 yrs then plastic should work. More than 3, i would go metal.
