Default Where to put the o2 bung

Where would you guys put the o2 bung on this manifold?

Or would you just put it on the DP?

I take it we're talking about a WB o2? If that's the case, I always put mine about 3 feet downstream of the turbo. You'll get a much longer life out of the sensor that way. The heat from the turbo will kill a WB sensor fast if you have it in that area.

primary is normally on the manifold itself but i wouldnt run a primary at all just secondary and tie the primary up...and really just gonna half to find a place where the o2 will fit... needs to be sitting upright or anything past the 90 degree mark on the upside... never let the top of the o2 point down at all bc it will not last long at all

if you half to run primary you will half to put it about 1 1/2 to 2 ft past the outlet on the turbo so its measuring all the air and not just from one runner as it would be if you put it on the manifold

Not sure how your tuning, but depending on how far down you put the primary from the turbo, you'll need to set the offset/delay from the o2 accordingly. My primary o2 has always been in the downpipe about 6-8" from the turbo. But my engine is different than your obviously and the o2 that you're running might be more heat sensitive than mine.

How do you do that? With a resistor? I have no engine management at the moment.

You would need an engine management to be able to do it. I would just go ahead and put it right at 6" back from the turbo outlet and you should be fine. Your car is turbo in stock form right? Take a look at where the factory sensor was placed in the downpipe and that should give you the right idea of location.

I ran into a tuning issue with my car and with a friends with the o2 placement. I have been using my wideband that has a simulated narrowband output for the ECU. Since my wideband is 3 feet downstream of the turbo, I had to shift the reading outputs quite far for everything to line up perfectly. But if I were running a primary o2, I would have put it 6" behind the turbo (where the factory placement is).

my factory placement is before the turbo, in the manifold

Really? I take it that it was in the collector area of the manifold then? That would work. I would tend to keep it near the factory location if you don't have a means to tune otherwise. If it's in the collector area it will see the pulse from all runners.
