    Default 85lbs seat pressure

okay guys I have buddy club spec IV cams and bought supertech valvetrain. well turns out that the springs are at 85 lbs seat pressure. I am now scared thinking this is too stiff to the point where it will cause premature wear or loss of power... I don't want to build it until I am sure it is alright. what do you experienced guys think? please help this is whats holding me back now.

    here are cam specs
    intake 306°

    12.3mm

    0.007

    exhaust
    302°

    11.8mm

    0.008

eh, just dont use too many shims. lol I was gonna run isky springs way back when and i think they had a spring pressure of 65Lbs. or so and that was more than enough.

You might run into spring bind issues and possible premature wear as you stated, although i cant say for sure from the specs you have given. The .306, is that lift or durations?

Plus, whats the cam(s) going in?

I would have opted for the low boost/all motor Supertech springs personally.

It should be fine though. You are looking at about 244 lbs at max lift on the intake side with the current springs. You might want to see what the specs are on the matching BC valve springs to see how they stack up.

FWIW, the H1002D spring set would be 70 on the seat and about 193 lb on at max lift on the intake

damn u got me worried. so is that a yes or no your two posts kind of contradict themselves. and 306 is duration and 12.3 is lift.... and bc valvesprings is not an optin anymore. i bought the 85lbs 2 weeks ago but the seller is willing to receive them back and send me 70lbs if I decide to change them.
