Default B series oil pan question

Can you put a gsr oil pan on an ls block? My headers don't seem to fit around my ls oil pan on my ls/vtec setup but they fit on my gsr block when it was in the car. All help is appreciated with reps. Thanks

If anything the gsr oil pan is bigger than the Ls one by about 1/2"

I can't explain it then. I have an ls/vtec on an engine stand and I had a full gsr in the car with the headers on it. When I pulled the swap out I test fit the headers on my ls/vtec and they hit the oil pan.

it could be due to the height of the combination of LS bottom and Vtec head. i dont know for a fact, but i do know that a LS is taller than a B16. the same concept could apply to your current combination

^^^Yep, that would make sense because the cranks and rods can be moved from one block to another.

So I tightened up the headers completely and it looks like it might just be the positioning of the headers when they were welded. They clear the pan on the top, but they are really close to the tall side of the oil pan, not quite touching, but almost ball hair clearance.

thats enough clearance! i know i modified a b16 one because the b16 block is about an 1/8 to 1/4 inch shorter and it was still a tight fit and is still runnin strong! hell thats how hondas roll with super tight clearances right i mean id rather have it a little tight than to wide! thats women n cars lol.
