I find it funny that the OP has not even responded to his own thread. I highly doubt he has the money available to buy either car anyways.
judging by the absolute mismatched nature of the two cars, that's seeming increasingly true.

I am not an Evo owner, I have just driven a few in autocrosses. Also, your story is impressive, but there's no telling the legitimacy of it or the actual power the Evo or any of the other cars were making. Not saying it didn't happen, but I could just as easily claim that I beat a 700HP S2K in a stock Evo. It shouldn't be a surprise that the S2K beat all the other cars, though, because they had considerably less power and were heavier or FWD.

Well considering I know a good majority of the S2K's in the Atlanta area (me being a previous S2K owner myself), I'd love to hear about this 670whp S2K you claim to have ridden in. The fact that you says it outran a 835whp Evo doesn't seem to really connect considering their comparable in weight.

no it was not at the track lol we all know awd is very hard to be off the line lol, and it was gt40r 19psi with custom turbo mani stock motor and 4.77 carbon coated final drive gear set, it was pretty nasty car with volk te37's and 10inch slicks.. the guys name is Mike Swarts from new mexico he had some family down here, so i ask him if he was interested in racing his s2k so he trailered it down here to bama and we went to bham and had so fun...he just an old friend of the family
Are you saying that he was on the stock 6 speed transmission?
Also, how did he get 10" slick on the Volks? The slicks would have been 15's while the Volks would have been at least 17's, more than likely 18's or 19's.
And I think you mean a 4.77 cryo-treated rear gear, not carbon-coated. ATS probably. AP1 car?

4.77'a would reduce the hell out of the top speed of the car. If it was an AP1 and had the top up, it would top out around 163. It would be even less if it was an AP2 as the gear ratio were slightly changed in the transmission.
I HIGHLY doubt the car made 670whp. If so, please feel free to prove David and I wrong with dyno sheets, video footage of the race, etc.

damn cut me up lol, yes the car made the power and no the slicks were not on the te37's just stating what was done to the car, and it topped out at 162 you were close. i cant show the time slips or the race due to he dont have the time slips any more and the camer fell off his mount in between the seats, but the OP is shot to hell now lol, but this is fun though, you guys keep saying that he didnt or HIGHLY doubt the car made the power lol go watch some vids this is nothing to achieve with this motor set up just think if it was built you guys dont own anything that would keep up with it!!!!! point blank end of story. Without proof, you have nothing to prove showing this magical car is real. Why would someone not have their time slips and it's a coincidence that the camera mount failed. I know that the slicks were not on the TE37s. They would not physically fit obviously. So, it sounds like he took it to the dragstrip at least once. The stock transmission would not hold up very long if he was effectively launching the car - so I asked what transmission he was running.
Personally, I would have no problem with running him on any drag strip with the Mustang, and I'm pretty sure the Supra would stay with him on the street.
