Default Boosting a high mileage motor.

I have a 1995 honda accrod lx with a f22b2 non vtec motor in it.
The car has been in my family since it was bought brand new in 1995 by my aunt. later on my mom bought it from her and i ended buying it from my mom as my first car. I have always had two cars....my accord and my toy. well im selling my current toy and am left with the accord.

I want to boost the original f22b2 motor that has 210,xxx miles on it and doesnt smoke at all. To my understanding If the compression check is all good then it should be safe to boost....correct?

My hp goal will be 200 to 250 max on stock internals.

You are playing with fire and the tune better be SPOT ON. We built a rotated turbo kit with a Borg Warner turbo for a guy that had 165,000 miles on his Subaru STI. Let me tell you, when I was tuning it, it made me nervous!! But he now has 185,000 mile on the car, still the factory motor and it is now making 400 AWHP. It can be done if the motor is still healthy, but one mistake in the tune and you are going to blow it. I would definitely have a spare motor ready.

Best bet is to At Least re-ring and do rod/main bearings, or be ready to rebuild or replace. Just my 2cents, reasonable insurance.

What would be some things that have to be done to make it a safe build. I'm planning on boosting an F2OA SOHC NON-V. Pretty much in the same boat as Chaseamundo. Only difference is I want to build the head, rods/ pistons an remove balancer shaft. Well I guess I'm not in the same boat. LOL.

    Didnt mean to thread jack.

    This....

    Mahle Pistons/ Eagle Rods

    Installed

    Headstuds

Balance shaft deletion. This mod helped the engine loose close to 12 lbs in unneeded weight. 1lb was straight off the crankshaft.

    500whp of spinnin fury!!!

i say do it. i had a 93 and i rebuilt a motor for it with stock internals and a bisimoto cam and a 5 layer headgasket. i had it on too much boost but it still didnt last but about 6 months. before cracking a ring gland on #3. then i pulled it out and put a junk yard motor in with about 170k on it and droped the boost a little bit. and it has 35k on it since runing plenty strong. its all in the tune. and as stated above fight the urge to up the boost. keep it under 10 lbs. i ran mine at 16 lbs for 6 months and made less power than it does now with 10lbs and a larger turbo.

word of advise. dont do the dsm manifold and 16g. hated it and it was way more drilling than it was worth. i ended up with a blox racing manifold and a t3/t4. do some reseach and you will love it.

mine makes 278whp and 264wtq daily. very fun to drive
i would have to dig out the dyno charts for proof but i got them somewhere.

cb7tuner.com i know that its not the right body style but there is some great info on there.
    new project every week.
