    Thumbs up H22a accord vtec problem

    Ok so i had a usdm h22a1 in the car before and it spun a rod bearing so i put the jdm h22a in everything works exactly how it should but vtec. it wont come on at all and the car redlines at 6500 for some odd reason since vtec isnt working maybe in some kind of limp mode. if any 1 can help me get vtec working i can throw them some $$$ i live in the buford area pm me on here with and suggestions thanks!!

    is it obd1 or obd2? because obd2 doesnt accept jdm h22s to my knowledge.

    you need to check the vtec soleniod to see if its getting power, you can send 12v to the vtec soleniod and if it clicks, its still good. also check your old motor to see if it has a crank position sensor behind the timing cover. the jdm motors crank sensor is in the distributor. so you will need to take those parts off the old motor and put them on the new motor, if its behind the timing cover.

    ya we checked vtec and it had 12v going to it so idk im gonna check on the old motor its in the garage

    i might be throwing a code not sure idk if my cel light works it doesnt flash when i turn the car on so the bulb might be out
