i have a question that is out there ....... for an other than automotive project.....
what i am building planning what have you will be using a smaller turbo (jet) which in turn will power the turbine of a larger turbo charger.......
the smaller turbo jet will be a closed system separate of the secondary larger turbo....
what is messing me up is how to value the a/r characteristics of both turbos and relate them to cfm/pressure/and rpm values.......... another big variable is the different fuels available and how they will affect the smaller turbo jets performance while powering the secondary turbos turbine only...... for simplicity gasoline or lp gas is preferred.
any combination of turbos can be used for reference if it makes it easier for you to figure.......
any ideas and help is appreciated....
just to clear any confusion up...... im using t28 as the small turbo and a t4 turbo as reference only.....
air enters t28 compressor. its then compressed and enters combustor. exhaust gases enter t28 turbine. exhaust gas enters t4 turbine. exhaust gas returns to stmosphere.
t4 compressor is used as a bleed air system for an apu unit.
the goal is to figure cfm and pressure @ rpm from t4 compressor.
lol
please no dumb comments...
