    Default Electronic boost controller problem

I recently installed a Greddy Profec Type S into my car. It was previously in an Evo 8 and worked perfectly, a few months back. Unfortunately, the power harness and valve harness weren't included in the sale, so I decided to do my own wiring/soldering. No problem there, took a class for it. Or maybe not, lol. Anyways, I followed the Greddy site as to which wire is + and - for power, and was told the valve harness doesn't have polarity and acts on pulse. I have the vacuum lines routed, as directed on the Greddy website, for an external wastegate. With the gain at minimum and low boost (selected) on minimum, the boost will gradually climb 15+psi. My wastegate spring is for 6 or 7. With the gain on the 3rd mark, as directed by Greddy, the boost will spike to 9 and drop to 6. With the gain on the 3rd mark and the boost middle way, the boost will go to 7 and drop to 6. It does the same if "high boost" is selected. It will either overboost or stay about where wastegate is, nothing has worked to make it act like an EBC should. Any suggestions?
