    Default Stutter at high rpm

Ok guys. I been puzzled by this for hours now. I been workin on my friends car. 95 hatch with a LS turbo. It sputters in high rpm

    tuned ecu (for this setup)
    dsm injectors
    walbro 255
    new fuel filter
    new distributor cap
    new rotor button
    new coil
    new wires
    new plugs(tapped at 26)
    new map sensor
    all vacuam lines checked
    timing is spot on

I drive the car and it sputters above 5000 I retard the timing and it gets worse so I advance it fully. It runs better but still sputters. I pull it in and it sounds like a misfire. I check the plugs. They are fine I make sure the wires were on good, they were fine. So I pull the plug wires off one at time and realize that cylinder 2 doesn't change. I feel the injectors and one feels different. I loosen the rail and remove said injector for cleaning. I look into the top and it has a lil dirt in it but nothin that should clog it. I spray it with parts cleaner to blow out as much as I can, it comes almost completely clean. Put it back in and it has the same skip but doesn't feel as bad

I have notice that the car doesn't seem to sputter as bad with the timing fully advanced, but this goes against ally better judgement

I guess my question would be do you think it's the injector or could it be the ignitor has a bad spot in it. Please helpe out

Well the ignitor really cant have i bad spot. Its probably the injector if you unplug it and nothing changes. Try switching the place of that injector with another one. If its still the same cylinder then its not the injector.

um..... im assuming your advancing and retarding timing with the distributor..... well. your doing it wrong. adjusting timing at the dizzy is going to throw all timing that is pulled on the base map way out of wack. put a timing light on it and get it back to normal....

my best guess sitting at the keyboard is its your spark plugs...... either they are too hot.... (wrong type) or it could be as simple as spark blow out.... gap them down a bit and go from there.

when was it tuned and how was it tuned......

to me it just needs a full tune up and inspection with someone very knowledgable..... no offense to you but sometimes a simple problem can make a turbo setupe run like complete shit.

if the car just had a tune up more than likely its wrong gap and or plugs......

if its just now started fukin up maybe 6months to a year of driving normal after tune..... check the fuel filter...

inspect plug wires for grey shit in case a wire is bad......

hopefully its something simple..... dont look to far into the possibilities

what kind of plugs are in the car? if he is running a platnum(spelling) plug the tip might be too fine. make sure he is running a colder plug so as not to blow out the spark. also the gap might be off.

Do you have any clue what the air fuel is at the point it begins to sputter (ever hooked a wideband up to it)? Is it only with wide open throttle or is it any time it goes above 5000?

thanks for all the help guys but i found out what it was

My buddy bought a resistor box that he was told" plugged directly into the dead plug" never seen one of those before. Lol. The guy he bought it from had 7 wires ran. I dont know how that was suppose to work
I went back and wired it in like your suppose to and now the car runs perfect
