Default Pick One Engine For Your Car...

If you had unlimited funding, pic ONE realistic engine for your car.

No top fuel engine or anything, MUST BE street drivable to an extent.

    I'd go with the H1 V8, 2.8 liters, 400HP at 10,000RPM, 245ft/lbs of torque, and it weighs 200lbs.

I'd choose it because it's light and revs like a monster, it'd be fast in every aspect and suit my driving style.

For those not familiar it's two Hyabusa engines mated together.

    I'm pretty sure it'd be a MEAN MK1 MR2...

So what would you choose and why?

I'd go with the 2.4L V8 found in the Caterham RST-V8 Levante. I love small displacement V8's. Simon, I think the engine you posted may be a close cousin of this one. By the way it comes in at 200lbs. as well and that's including the supercharger.

    Engine 2.4-litre, 40-valve RST-V8 supercharged
    Max Power 500+ bhp @ 10,000rpm
    Max Torque 300lbsft @ 8500rpm
    Supercharge boost 0.8 psi

I would pick Racing Beat's 13G. 1000+ bhp at 8500 RPM sounds good to me

Just about any BMW factory motor, S38B38, S14 2.4, S54B32, S65/85 including the Mclaren F1 BMW motor which is literally two 3.0l M3 motors hooked together with 12 itb's. In my own opinion in terms of logevity and badassness BMW builds the best motors out of the factory

If I could take anything it would probably be an E46 M3 with an S65 V8. 8500rpm, carbon airbox, lighter than the i6 and it sits farther back in the car. With a Motec and bolt on's they do mid 400's and it'll last forever. Without a doubt, it would be a beastly set up

S54B32, would be great in the E30, and because I already have a B18c for the CRX, just not in it yet.

An RB26DETT, I would also have to convert the car to RWD of course, but with unlimited funding, that is no problem lol. There is actually a Maxima that this is being done to right now.

    Man, I plan on doing the RWD F20C into my EH2 next year and putting my LS1 into an S2K. And I thought that would be somewhat original. At the same time I also;

Plan on building a 427 LSx (or LQ4 408/ LS3 376 depending on funds) for the maro this coming winter, goal is 600+ N/A. Then following year I want to just add bigger cc heads a different cam, boost, and shoot for 900 HP.

All aluminum LSX454 with a TVS2300 sitting on top of it.

Should be able to make 1000rwhp/tq and be completely mild and streetable.
