IMO:
The show car scene of the late 90s was all about being as wild and crazy as you could be. Big bodykits ,bright colors, car audio, chrome this chrome that, etc.
The show car scene today is the most retarded offset wheel you can find and hammer the car on the ground. Almost no attention is paid to performance, car audio, presentation etc. Its about the most expensive wheels you can find, and pinning your car as low to the ground as you can get.
In both ERAs i still never see the point. Too many people are afraid of being original. This hellflush crap is so gay its made me almost completely lose interest in the Honda/Acura tuning world. Its all about conformity. Its about hardparkers that sit at Starbucks on barret parkway on fri and sat night with no lives but like to sit there and jerk each other off about how hella flush their wheels are.
I never spent big money on wheels, mainly because i never wanted wheels that cost more than my car lol I would rather put $3000 in my engine bay in mods to go faster than wheels to make me look cool. I always thought you were more respected for a fast car than a good looking car. Now dont get me wrong some peoples cars i do like. Csmiths car is really nice and the CCWs are different. Jays S2000 i always thought was good looking. Lengs cars are nice even though his S2000 wheel fitment is a little too crazy for me IMO.
But as a whole i just dont get the kids modding cars today, makes no sense to me
