I will tell you what it is, all these young kids jumping on the bandwagon instead of being original. Yeah when I first saw an S2000 with a nice offset it was great, but now things have gotten way out of hand. I myself have friends who apperently need some sort of responsibility in there life, cause everyday all they can think of is what to do to top the next person. It drives me insane to see someone spend all there money on something that can bee takin away in a flash. Dont get me wrong I am still in the schene and love it but I myself have opened my eyes to stuff that matters. All this wide wheels, stretched tires, painting a car each week is pretty lame if you ask me. I will always love a clean stock looking car over this crap we have today. Sorry for ranting just wanted to get that out

Also I could see spending money on a race car cause thats the real meaning of be competitive. That atleast can get you a reward, but trying to make your the next big different thing by doing the same stuff is just retared. Hope that makes since

So what you mean to say is that racing isn't badwagoning? Its been around forever. Everyone wants to be faster than the other so they do similar mods and build on that and keep it moving... but faster. the same thing applies for the aesthetic scene. Sure you dont get rewards for beating another man to shit in the 1/4 but the reward you get is self gratification. that's all some folks need.

the 90's aren't coming back. The scene is simply EVOLVING. it always evolves. Where's the wrong in that? i for one am not a fan of either car posted but i wouldn't jump to saying the 90's are coming back and/or call the mods they've done stupid absolutely stupid. Just because you don't recognize the change in the scene doesn't make the subtle mods they've done stupid. Back in the day folks put their heart and souls into their cars and they were accepted. there was a sort of comradery back then. Everyone bonded over the scene despite their different tastes. You dont really see that anymore. Most of the motor modding folk dont care about the other man. They just wanna go fast! lol. When you feel free to express yourself with the exterior of your vehicle others tend to open up as well. They see your heart and they know where you stand. the 90s will not come back full blown or anything but i think what is truly trying to make a come back is the comradery.

like I said. Apparently we just don't understand the change in the scene and the movement that's happening now.

Racing is apart of everything just about. So if you want to go there everyone in the world is on that bandwagon in some way or another. What I am saying is, the import schene was freakin awesome when cars got respect from how fast the were and what the owner had to work with. Any fool can go buy some stupid wide wheel and put in on there car. Just stretch the tire and you have heelflush. Its the most annoying thing, kinda like your wheels but thats another story. I have built many cars from clean and simple to all out lets go fast. The most fun I ever had was in my pos crx with a b16. Thats what the culture needs to go back to. all this multicolor engine bay crap with the 15x15 -89 wheel is so freakin stupid. There are exceptions out there but for the most part its not what made things fun. I love going to shows , meets and stuff but in reality the schene has gone down hill. What we need is some good o' fashion street racing and grudge matches. That way when someone thinks they have hot shit they get a call out and put up or shut up. those where the good days

I would say the scene is more or less dividing up. I hate to say it but S3 has said it basically word for word in the newest mag. People divide up into their groups, fitment freaks, power addicts, etc. These little groups go around on the forums talking shit about the others which does nothing more than aggravate the other and piss em off.

I can say I've posted half the fitment cars in the pics section cause I knew there were a few people on the forum that would see what I saw and liked it, but in doing so I know I pissed off a good bit of people by posting the kind of cars they don't understand and hate. You win some and loose some. I personally don't see how you can (and this is theoretical) walk up to Justin with his CB7 or Octopus or Csmith or Jay and tell them face to face "your car is too low, looks like shit, the fenders are burnt up from the rubbing, your tires are unsafe, what the fuck were you thinking?" Yet people get on forums, get behind the keyboard and say the same words. Everybody has got an opinion, I'm just fucking tired of people not giving respect to the hard work it takes to do anything to a car whether it be a K swap with a nasty gt40r turbo or stanced and fitted with some custom BBS's.

As for the 90's, please. History repeats itself, but there are some things in history people have learned from. I can see how stance can be seen as the new show car in the way it is done up, and looks pretty sitting and rolling and most of the time isn't insanely fast. But I think most have looked back and seen the insane things that were done in the 90's to show cars and think its a little too much, so most show cars that I see now are done with modesty and know if they step out too far they will get shitted on by others....I wonder if thats how we want the scene stay, cause to me it seems like eventually no one will step out and do anything crazy that could be good or bad.
