he cant rotate the housing, its internally waistgated. your gonna have to either get the compressor side cut and rewelded facing a different way, get a different cold side housing, or move the rad somehow so the ic pipes can fit.

yea you dont need to use water. oil will cool it just fine. Just be sure to let it cool down(run at idle for 30sec-2min) after you get on it before u turn it off.

damn, rain prevented me from working much so i couldnt get any good pics. tmrw morning if its nice outside. But i got some questions:
Does it matter that the oil drain pipe is horizontal or has a dip in it.. or will pressure keep the oil moving?

Also, on my radiator i have 2 tubes coming out from the bottom.. im not sure what they're for, but i was thinking of hooking up the water ports from the turbo to them if it flows through?

.. sorry im new to all this, but reps for help!

the oil drain need to be perpendicular to the ground, it doesnt have "pressure" it just flows with gravity.
and that line on the rad if for a auto trans cooler. i wouldnt hook it up.

I'll get you some pics later today. From what I am looking at, you turbo really needs to be turned around. The DP is keeping you from getting your drain line right and radiator is preventing you from getting you intercooler pipe on.

If its just the pic and the dp isn't in the way just turn your fitting back a 1/4 turn.

do this and you will be fine. you will also have less ic piping to run to the intercooler's hotside.

haha so true. I actually did that the first time around, but the way the downpipe was facing made me think that it could only face one way however, i just turned the turbo around, and with a little cutting its looking ok.

Its hard to tell from the pics, but the oil drain is still somewhat level to each other, and i need to get a new downpipe made . Does anyone know if it is ok to ride like that just until i make it a few miles to the exhaust shop?

Looks like if you put a straight at the oil pan you may be ok.

yeah, put in a straight fitting.
also, dont drive it without a downpipe.
just mock one up and have it welded later.

eh, as long as u have a 02 sensor in the DP, u can drive to the exhaust shop. dont get on it tho cuz of the lack of a tune.

but the drain, like they all said, a straight off the oil pan will prob work.

thats wut ive been told. and I would always want to get a good read on all the sensors to the car so it wont send any crazy inputs to the ecu.

"The engine control unit (ECU) is a control system that uses feedback from the sensor to adjust the fuel/air mixture. As in all control systems, the time constant of the sensor is important; the ability of the ECU to control the fuel-air-ratio depends upon the response time of the sensor. An aging or fouled sensor tends to have a slower response time, which can degrade system performance. The shorter the time period, the higher the so-called "cross count" [2] and the more responsive the system."

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oxygen_...n_of_the_probe

When the car is tuned you should be able to go without one, I don't have one anymore. But as of now it's controlling your A/F mixture.

I don't know......might run rich/lean and throw a CEL. I, myself, wouldn't chance it. If it were me, I'd just fork out the money and have it towed up there. Have them put the o2 in the DP, and stay out of boost and get it tuned ASAP.
