They have low prices for good mileage. Why is that? It has become one of my options for a new car and was just wondering why they tend to sell "cheap". Are there problems with them?
Because many are starting to show their age. IE: needing expensive tops, rear windows, interior getting faded. Many were owned by young single type folks who (as a whole) typically do not care for cars so well.
They are great cars if well cared for. Check for crank snout and crank bearing failure on the 1.8 cars. Other than that, coilpacks are about the only thing that goes wrong. They are simple to work on too.
like tnomud said about showing their age, the paint for late model mazda's are crap. idk what happened but something went wrong in the factory
