    Default B20 Sleeved is it worth it?

    Im doing a turbo build(first one) I have a b20 bottom end,vtec head.Im looking to sleeve the bottom end(golden eagle) ,but i havent seen many b20 sleeved.Is there a problem with the b20? should i get a b18 bottom end instead?Im going for 575 to 650 hp.Im not a newbbie to engine builds just new to boost( N/A all my life) so i could get a lil help or insight on this..THANKS!!!

    Actually, a b20 and b18a/b are the same block. The only difference is the sleeves. So most people pick up the cheapest block of the two to sleeve. That's why you see more sleeved ls blocks than b20s. Since you already have the b20 there's no point of getting a ls block unless you find one cheap, then you can flip the b20 for more than what you paid for the ls.

    Is getting a block sleeved worth it when boosting? HELL YEA.

    ^^all this is correct, However, what are your power goals ? If you plan on staying under 300whp. you really don't have to sleeve it at all. Just get a really good tune and you'll be good....

    Yes unless you have the money to fix it in a couple of months when it blows.

    He already said 575-650. For the power goals.

    I would just sleeve the b20 u already have.
