get one of the new tahoe's man best suv ive ever drove
99 tahoe, build in progress
Mike, I have had 05 Escalade ESV Platinum for a couple years now and could not be happier. The fuel economy sucks ASS (AWD 6.0l V8), but everything else on it is perfect. Heated/cooled front and rear seats, nav, heated/cooled cupholders, sunroof, dvd player with 2 screens, all the room in the world, seating for 7 and still PLENTY of room for cargo, etc, etc...
I believe they can be had for under 20k these days.
Also, the comfort of a massive SUV is an amazing feeling.

It can also pull on bolt on GS-R's with ease IIRC.

You could also look at the 300c srt8 as they fit your criteria
idk if the body is your cup of tea...

Lightnings are nice, but for something you dont wont to mod, a srt-8 is better. Look into the 05-07 GT's, nice, plenty of pep, open interior, and can be had for around 15k. Also on the GTO's only thing about there rear's is there IRS, which if I remember is almost the same exact design as the vette rear ends.
Hey so I don't know if anybodys mentioned it yet but you should get a used Jeep srt-8.
Lol machnu I drove crxs FOREVER so I can fit in "smaller" cars![]()

and :boobies:
I've pretty much made up my mind
C5 base 6 speed and I'll do I/h/e cam
c5 z06 with exhaust
ctsv
I think for what I want the base c5 fits my needs. It's cheap, I'm gonna mod it anyway so I really don't care about the z06 cam and heads, I don't track the car so brakes off the z06 I could care less about
I think I can take a base c5 do some mods, wheels and have the perfomance and looks tht I want
the z06 just adds $5000-6000 in stuff that I really don't see value in when I'm gonna do mild mods anyway

you looking for a FRC or a hatch or does it not matter?
Either one to be honest frc adds unecessary $ IMO and I like the targa lol

That one looks really nice for the price, and only 70k millage.
G8 is badass but everyone I've seen that's a gt is $20000+

I'm not gonna read through all of this but, I did read the first two pages.
I would chose the CTS V. The issues with the rear end are well known and they are caused by the sheer amount of wheel hop that they produce. Caddy has since sorted this out and the aftermarket has also solved this as well. So long as you sort out the wheel hop issue its just as good as the vette if not better IMHO

as far as G8's go ive seen em in the low 20's which im sure you could get em to 20K out the door depending on your credit.
