    Default Corvette Grandsport

Yes I know I made a thread about them before but this thread serves a different purpose. I got a offer on my 2009 Z51 Corvette (8,133 miles) and was wondering if people think the upgrade is worth it?

With the offer at hand it would cost 5-10k to upgrade... I am contemplating not getting another coupe too. All I have ever owned are Coupes and 2+2 Coupes. I have a small itch for a sedan with a power motor.

The upgrades from my model include..

    * Wider front and rear fenders – including specific front fenders with integrated Grand Sport badges
    * Z06-style front splitter and tall rear spoiler
    * Functional brake ducts and extra cooling
    * Larger tires 275/35ZR18 tires in front and 325/30ZR19 tires in the rear
    * Z06-size brakes, including 14-inch (355 mm) front rotors with six-piston callipers and 13.4-inch (340 mm) rear rotors with four-piston calipers.
    * World class six speed manual transmiaaion from TREMEC.
    * Specific manual transmission gear ratios
    * Traditional Grand Sport hash mark on fenders
    * Unique Grand Sport fender vents and Grand Sport badging
    * ZR1-derived dry-sump oil system

...and no I do not want a convertible just posted these pictures.

I wasn't aware that the Grandsport was also coming in a vert. I love just about any flavor of Corvette, personally. I think the upgrades are definitely worth the cost.

I agree, seems the upgrades would be worth the cost. I say go for it.

$5k-$10k for what sounds like a bodykit and larger brakes is not worth it IMO. You can get an aftermarket brake kit for your car for much less that will perform just as good if not better.

    Its a toss up.

If you want the status of owning the Grand Sport, having a Vert and a spanking new car, go for it.

If you want to spend the extra 5-10k in the current car you have, you will have a better car.

If it were me 5-10k up from my 09' Z51 C6 it better be a CTS-V. That's worth it, but the Grand Sport is my favorite Vette out right now in terms of how it looks, what it costs and how its balanced with go/stop/turn. It's more than a body kit and brakes

Man, if I have a Grand Sport Vette by the time I'm 21, I'll feel like I am doing great(not gonna happen haha)! You are doing very well yourself, must be nice to be a Corvette owner without being a 45+ year old who is balding! I'd say go for it, it's a sweet car.

^^ Yeah, I drew a frame of a man running on each fan blade. That is him running at idle

I say go Sedan.. forget the coupes for a while. I sat in my friends 5 series and I like the added room, then again I'm knocking on 30 and have a son, you're still in your early 20's.
