    It is considered Street Racing under the the clause of exhibition of Speed. I got this wonderful ticket when I was 16.

    If the cop wants to they can give you a wreckless driving ticket for doing it, regardless of if you stop at the speed limit or not.

    lol. Got that ticket in my Eclipse back in the day...went to court and got it dropped down to too fast for conditions, but the point is cops can write whatever they want

    edit: He also wrote me a window tint violation ticket, and out past curfew ticket (I didn't know you had to change that over when you turned 18...lol)

    Not true. The LEO probably told you his stance on it. But not the actual law. I just quoted the actual law.

    They don't usually consider this street racing unless there is another car involved and they think it is. Other than that, they cite you either reckless driving or excessive acceleration.
